How to Make the Most of the Today Devotional Site

We value your Today website experience. We work to make the website an easy-to-use tool for you. Here are some tips on how to make the most of the Today devotional website.

Text Size

If you are reading Today online, and you find the text is too small, we have a solution! Just below the large PLAY button and the devotion date, there is a button that says Larger Text. Click it once to make the text larger; click it again to return the text size to normal.

Audio Player

Speaking of that PLAY button, did you know you can to listen to the devotion? Just click that button to listen to the audio for that day's devotion. The audio includes the entire scripture reading. A colored band will circle the button as the devotion plays, showing you how far it has played and how much is left before it ends.

Print a Devotion

To print a devotion, simply click the Print button below the Larger Text button.

Devotion Library

To visit the devotion library, go to the top of the page and click on “Devotion Library.” On this page you will see the date, title, and the verse for each devotion. To find specific information, on the left side of the page you can search by topic, scripture reference, author, and date. You can also search by section of the website (Devotions, Blogs, Collections, etc.) You can also search by topic, keyword, phrase, title, and author, by typing in the Search by field.

Devotional Blog

The Today website also has a featured blog page. Here you can check out the introductory blog for each new monthly topic. You will find posts suggesting devotions to try, ways to keep up with personal devotions, how to start a devotional journal, and more. You will also find thoughtful discussions about a variety of topics of faith.

Today Devotional App

If you want to take Today on the go, download our app! You can read or listen to the devotion right from the app. There is also a menu which allows you to submit prayer requests, contact us, or subscribe via email.

If you don’t want to download the app, you can always save the website as a shortcut on your phone’s home screen, and it will function like an app. If this interest you, here are instructions on how to do that:

For iPhone:

1. Open Safari and go to todaydevotional.com

2. On the bottom of the screen, you will see a bar with icons in it. Touch the box icon with the up arrow in it

3. A menu will pop up. Touch the button that says “Add to Home Screen”

4. You can change the name of the shortcut

5. A blue icon that says “Today” will appear your home screen

For Android:

1. Open Chrome for Android and go to todaydevotional.com

2. Tap the menu button and tap “Add to home screen”

3. You can change the name of the shortcut

4. A blue icon that says “Today” will appear on your home screen
