Wonders of the Incarnation

November 29, 2022

The time between Thanksgiving and New Years can be an especially busy time of year. We often do more shopping and get-togethers in these weeks than the rest of the year. Students and teachers typically wrap up semesters, and business owners hustle to conclude their calendar year of finances.

During the frantic busyness, we invite you to slow down to celebrate the incarnation of Jesus Christ.

Think about it: The eternal Son of God takes on human flesh. The almighty, everlasting God becomes “like [us], fully human in every way” (Hebrews 2:17).

Jesus’ incarnation is a wondrous and wonderful thing, and it gives us plenty to wonder about together this month.

December’s author, Bob Arbogast, is the pastor of Celebration Fellowship church in Ionia, Michigan. In his spare time he plays guitar in a West Michigan blues band. He and his wife, Jan, have three adult daughters.

As you read the Today devotions this month, may you be refreshed, refocused, and renewed in God’s Word!
