Pass It On

Romans 10:8-15

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
John 10:10

—

Today we received our thirty-eighth letter from Mr. Fu. He has been listening to our programs in China since the early 1990s. Fu was then at the lowest point of his life and was aimlessly turning the dial on his radio. God, in his providence, led Fu to our program. The Word of God touched his heart. Fu has never stopped listening since that day, and he has been telling other people about our programs.

In 2 Kings 7 we read about four men with leprosy who were also in bad shape. They were hurting emotionally because the people of the city had cast them out; they were hurting physically because of their disease and a famine. In God’s providence they found food and shelter. It was the spoils of an army that had laid siege to the city but had run away, leaving everything behind. Then the lepers said, “We’re not doing right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves … Let’s go at once and report this …” (2 Kings 7:9).

Did you know that reading this devotional book today is part of God’s plan to tell you that he loves you? Let’s report the good news of God’s love to others!

That’s how it is with God’s love,
Once you’ve experienced it.
You want to sing, it’s fresh like spring,
You want to pass it on.

Dear God, we know that nothing in our lives happens by chance. Help us to seize the opportunity to hear the good news and tell others about it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
