People of Peace

What do you pack when you’re traveling? If you’ve had the experience of going somewhere to share about Jesus, what do you bring with you on a mission trip?

Imagine being sent out by Jesus without any supplies or travel gear and searching out a person of peace who would provide for you for the sake of the gospel (the good news of the kingdom of God).

As you reflect on stories about people in the Bible and others who have been open to receiving the message of God’s love and peace, may you too have opportunities to be a person of peace for others.

This month, let’s take some time to explore what it looks like to be “People of Peace.

February’s author, Pastor Beth Fellinger, has more than 40 years of experience in pastoral ministry. She and her husband, Barry, have created a missional community in their neighborhood called the Ugly Couch Café, where they serve coffee at a blue picnic table in their front yard, pray with neighbors, and host faith gatherings on a weekly basis.

As you read the Today devotions this month, may you be refreshed, refocused, and renewed in God’s Word!
